At Green Kukunari, we are a plant-based lifestyle company with a mission to transform consciousness around our food choices and holistic practices. Based in Pitsidia on the island of Crete, we offer an innovative culinary experience. The name Kukunari comes from the Greek word for pine cone, a versatile and common plant on the island.
We have focused on offering a menu that is completely plant-based and free of animal products.
The restaurant sources ingredients from local organic farms to ensure freshness and support the local economy.
Our experience with the interior designer helped us create a harmonious mix of nature and inviting space.
“Everything handmade” has been our general philosophy from the start and we have created a menu that offers a wide range of vegan dishes, including starters, main courses and desserts. It is always of the best quality and 100% plant-based, with no refined sugar or processed additives. The menu changes depending on the season and uses local produce and traditional methods and recipes, combined with our worldly health knowledge. It is organic wherever possible and each dish is carefully prepared to suit different tastes.
In addition to being a restaurant, we aim to be a community center for like-minded people by hosting events such as vegan cooking workshops and yoga classes so that yoga retreat organizers can create a menu that meets their goals and requirements. It is also a concept store that showcases and sells a variety of vegan products and medical cannabis.
We also host educational lectures, exhibitions by local artists and performances by local musicians. Our values guide our actions and our goal is to empower our team members and employees to be a positive force for change.
Food brings so much joy, but it’s not just life that gives us – it’s life and our ingredients that have been shown in hundreds of studies worldwide to make a difference to our health.
